What's New for the Riverview Community Playground

4/8/09- We received great news at our meeting last night. We are closer to completing the playground than we thought. A new cost appraisal was brought in and with donations and grants we are roughtly $60,000 away from making the playground a reality. We need to have monies in by May 1st to have the playground ready for the ribbon cutting in July.

We are asking for you help to get the word out. Tell your friends, ask your company/place of work if they are willing to donate (donations are tax-deductible), go together with family to purchase a piece of the play equipment, buy a RCP Fundraising Cards, etc. Visit our opportunities page to find more ideas on how you can help us finish the playground.

We would also like to thank Kyle Rogers and Richard Chapman for the beautiful sign that will be placed at the playground site. Thank you Kyle for all of your hard work, the sign is beautiful! Pictured below: Kyle Rogers presenting the playground sign to Shawn Irvine.

2/20/09 - Thanks to generous grants/donations from the Spirit Mountain Community Fund and City of Independence we are starting to make serious progress on the Riverview Community Playground. We would like to thank all of our donors, you are helping us to make a Universal Change! A very special thanks also to all of the Central High Seniors and Teachers who have helped our project grow. With your help we are moving forward!
